The following are reports from the Blytheville Police Department. Monday, Jan. 11 -- Police took a criminal mischief report in the 3700 block of Ray Lane. The victim said the previous tenants destroyed the trailer home, causing $8,000 worth of damages. The report said the interior walls have been destroyed, as have some of the outer walls. City receives matching grant for park renovations

The City of Blytheville has been awarded a 50-50 matching reimbursable grant in the amount of $47,000 from the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism for use on making improvements to Williams Park. A condition of the grant required that the city pay the full cost of the improvements [$94,000] up front, and upon completion of the project and various administrative requirements, the city will receive a reimbursement of half the amount spent, up to $47,000. ...
