City settles Lamar's Room lawsuit; amount not released

The city of Blytheville and currently closed Lamar's Room have reached a settlement agreement. Terms of the settlement were unavailable. Lamar's Room owner, Deanthony Perry, declined to release the amount he and Deon Mouton received. City officials were also unable to provide the figure when asked. Perry did call it "private," but "a sizable amount."...

Lawsuit dismissed, further action promised

A class action suit against the city of Blytheville has been dismissed, but attorney Jim Harris says he plans to appeal Circuit Judge David N. Laser's decision to the Arkansas Supreme Court. Through the suit filed by Hoskins and Harris, P.A., Blytheville resident Kenyghatta Davis alleged that the city overcharged for mosquito spray service, charged excessive late fees and did not pay interest on water deposits...
