Panel OKs 2-hour parking

Tuesday night, the Blytheville Police and Fire Committee gave Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson the green light to implement two-hour parking from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays between the arches on Main Street. Main Street merchants requested the restriction, saying some Main Street businesses' employees and tenants have been using valuable parking places in the front of other stores downtown all day long, instead of parking in the back lots...

Chamber of Commerce raffling off 'Vette

A "massive raffle" is under way at the Blytheville/Gosnell Area Chamber of Commerce for a 1980 Corvette, which will be given away June 6 during the Relay for Life Car Show at Walker Park. Gosnell cleanup going well

GOSNELL -- Gosnell Mayor Dick Reams told the city council Tuesday night that the cleanup of debris from the February ice storm is coming along fine, but will still take some time. Reams extended his thanks to several people who have been instrumental in getting the debris cleaned up. Burglaries probed

Blytheville police are investigating several burglaries that occurred over the weekend according to reports. Police were called to the 300 block of East Main on Saturday, where Anthony Mills reported that he came home and found a window to his residence broken out and a Playstation 3 missing from the home.
