State officials given tour of Big River Steel site

The Arkansas Waterways Commission held their regular quarterly meeting in Osceola Friday morning. Commission members were then given a tour of Big River Steel (BRS), Mid-River Terminals, and Blue Oak Resources that afternoon. Great progress can be seen in the construction of the new mill as well as the two satellite industries. Mid-River Terminals is a port by which rock and iron will be delivered by river to BRS. Blue Oak Resources recycles old cell phones for precious metals found within their components.
